SENIOR WOMEN'S CRICKET
The MPCA launched its inaugural women's competition in season 2021/22 with just 5 teams. Since then, the competition has flourished, growing to over 18 teams — an impressive expansion for a relatively new league.
The Tigers proudly joined the MPCA women’s competition in the 2023/24 season and are excited to field a women’s team again this year. A highlight from our first year was club best & fairest and batting award winner Sally O’Meara being named to the MPCA’s women’s team of the year — an outstanding achievement.
Our senior women play on a Sunday afternoon in the MPCA's Division 1 competition.
This year, we're also thrilled to introduce our inaugural U/13 girls team. This team has been a long-term goal for the club, working diligently behind the scenes to build our girls' cricket program through our Woolworths Blast sessions and U/10s teams.
Our inaugural women's team has also inspired these young players, with many of the U/13 team members having mum’s who play in our women’s team.
