CLUB HISTORY

Seaford Tigers Cricket Club was established in 1990 as a subsidiary of Seaford Junior Football club. In season 2020/21 we celebrated our 30th year anniversary! The club is located at Belvedere Reserve, East Road, Seaford, next to Frankston Council's Healthy Hub.

Our club currently plays in the Peninsula Division of the the MPCA, one of the most successful country cricket competitions in Victoria and even Australia.

Seaford Tigers Cricket Club is a proud club that consists of many volunteers that have a passion for developing cricket in the local community. The club started with two senior teams in 1990/1991 in the Federal District Cricket Association winning the premiership in the 5th grade competition. Season 1991/1992 saw the club expand to four senior and two junior teams with the first eleven winning back to back premierships in 1991/1992 and 1992/1993 in the A grade competition.

In 1994 the club entered the Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association, with the first eleven winning the premiership in sub district that year. The juniors have won two premierships in the under 16 competition, the first in season 1999/2000 and again in 2002/2003.

In the clubs short history, the Tigers have experienced a considerable amount of on-field success and continue to grow as a club with hopes of more success in the future for both the senior and junior teams, and cementing itself as one of the premier clubs on the peninsula.

In 1990 we fielded just 2 teams, whereas today we field 3 x senior men's teams, a women's team, an All Abilities team, 5 x junior teams and run a successful Woolworths Cricket Blast program.

In 2012/13 we had our most successful season to date winning the the Senior 1stXI Sub District Premiership and the under 13, 15 and 17 Junior Premierships.

In 2014/15 we had another extremely successful season winning the 2ndXI, 4thXI, & 5thXI Premierships.

In season 2019/20 our 1stXI won the District Premiership promoting the club to MPCA Peninsula Division.
